Ron has been a trusted adviser to a wide range of businesses and organizations in a variety of sectors. He was worked with clients on every continent, except Antartica, and specializes in risk and crisis management. His experience includes on-site risk management support for the International Olympic Committee at seven Olympic Games. He  assisted the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) with litigation related to the Fukushima nuclear disaster and has helped clients dealing with multi-jurisdiction cyber attacks, Justice Department investigations, congressional hearings, gender discrimination allegations and a host of other problems. He has also worked alongside investigators at a major law firm as well as a former head of the London Metropolitan Police.

Ron previously served as an Senior Vice President at Burson and led the Corporate Affairs Team at Hill+Knowlton’s Washington, D.C., office before its name change to Hill+Knowlton Strategies and later merger with Burson. His public relations work is informed by his previous career as a journalist, when he was more likely to generate controversy than defuse it. His wide-ranging journalism career, which started in Texas, included serving as White House correspondent for a major national newspaper chain. While in that role, Ron’s peers in print and broadcast media elected him president of the White House Correspondent Association, making him the press corps’ liaison to the George W. Bush administration.

Ron earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree at the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Arts degree in Urban Affairs at the University of Texas at Arlington.
