
Linda is a nationally recognized corporate leader and communications strategist with more than three decades of experience shaping culture, reputation, and organizational transformation. Known for building empowered, high-performing teams, she brings deep expertise in aligning people, purpose, and performance to drive lasting impact.
Until April 2025, Linda served as Chief Administration Officer for Southwest Airlines, leading functions including Culture & Communications, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging, Internal Audit, People, Talent and Leadership Development, Total Rewards, Technology & AI, and Southwest Airlines University. She continues to serve as an advisor to the airline.
Linda began her career in journalism, working for Newsweek in New York and the Dallas Times Herald before joining Southwest in 1992. Her newsroom roots shaped her lifelong belief in the power of authentic storytelling and transparent leadership.
A dedicated advocate for her profession and community, Linda serves on several boards including the Page Society, the Texas Tech College of Media & Communications Advisory Board, and the Institute for Public Relations, where she is a Trustee and past Chair. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Frost Bank, participating on its audit, compensation & benefits, and governance committees.
Her career achievements have been recognized with numerous honors, including the PRWeek Women of Distinction, IPR Lifetime Achievement Award, Missouri Honor Medal for Distinguished Service, and Texas Tech Distinguished Alumni Award.
A graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in journalism, Linda lives in Texas with her husband, Michael. They are the proud parents of Allison and Matthew and enjoy gardening, traveling, and spending time with their dog, Alfie.
