Biography
Andrea Barger is a senior communications and marketing executive with more than two decades of experience advising CEOs and leadership teams on corporate narrative, executive positioning, reputation, and communications during periods of growth, transformation, and change. She has served as a fractional Chief Communications Officer, marketing leader, and senior strategy advisor to companies and organizations across many industries, working both inside leadership decisions and through their execution.
Most recently, Andrea has advised CEOs, founders, and nonprofit leaders on strategic communications, corporate positioning, crisis and change communications, executive visibility, and stakeholder engagement as a fractional executive and consultant. Previously, she served as General Manager for Texas at The Bliss Group, where she focused on business development and on establishing the firm's regional presence in Texas.
Andrea served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Snagajob, where she led brand, communications, and product marketing through the COVID-19 pandemic and other significant periods of organizational change. Her work included executive communications, workforce intelligence and thought leadership, corporate brand strategy, crisis communications, and a major brand transformation developed in partnership with the Yale Center for Customer Insights.
Earlier, Andrea served as Senior Director of Marketing and Communications at Blucora, where she was the lead communications strategist for the company's multi-billion-dollar acquisition of 1st Global. She advised senior executives across Blucora, HD Vest, and TaxAct and led communications spanning corporate reputation, M&A, executive positioning, stakeholder engagement, and media relations.
Andrea spent six years with Red Bull North America and Red Bull Media House, directing communications across a 13-state region and working across brand, media, content, athletes, events, and original programming. She also produced nationally distributed editorial and broadcast content and holds an IMDb producer credit for Red Bull: The Game Breaker on Fox Sports.
She began her career with Golin, Rogers & Cowan and GCI Health, and also gained early career experience at CNN and Disney/Touchstone Pictures.
Andrea holds a B.A. from Baylor University, where she graduated with high honors as a University Scholar in business marketing, public relations, and communications.
