
Kate is an execution-driven communications strategist known for driving tangible business impact. She brings a blend of corporate, consulting, and media experience, helping leaders and organizations build trust, drive growth, and navigate complex reputational challenges through the lens of enterprise performance.
Kate was the youngest Executive Vice President at Edelman, the world’s largest public relations firm. She led a multimillion-dollar portfolio of high-growth clients across highly-regulated sectors including finance, technology, and defense. Specializing in executive positioning, she advised C-suite leaders on building, promoting, and protecting their brands and reputations. She also oversaw the firm’s communications and special projects, including the global launch of the Edelman Trust Barometer in Davos and subsequent activations at SXSW, Cannes, Milken, and COP.
Prior to Edelman, Kate was one of the first five employees and a member of the executive team at Axios. She built and led the company’s corporate partnerships business, growing it from zero to more than 25 staff and $30M+ in annual revenue. Earlier, at Politico, she managed special projects and corporate strategy initiatives, including the business case for the company’s expansion into Brussels and a major corporate restructuring.
Kate began her career in management consulting at Avascent (now Oliver Wyman), advising private equity clients on M&A transactions in B2G and highly regulated sectors.
Kate graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Washington University in St. Louis, where she served as editor-in-chief of the award-winning campus newspaper and was elected senior class marshal. She lives in the Washington, DC region with her husband, two sons, and daughter.
