
Emily is an experienced strategic communicator with a track record across healthcare, agency, telecommunications. She specializes in helping organizations tell their stories with clarity whether through national media engagement, executive and thought-leadership positioning, crisis and issues response, or internal communications that build alignment during change.
Emily served at Children’s Health, where she was a Manager in People Communications. She led internal communications programs that supported employee engagement and organizational priorities, bringing structure and clarity to complex, fast-moving environments.
Previously, Emily held senior agency roles at Westphall PR, as Senior Vice President, advising clients on media relations, corporate positioning, and reputation-focused communications. Earlier in her career, she worked in-house at AT&T, supporting the company’s 5G network rollout through media relations, consumer demos, and external communications, and serving as PR lead for AT&T SHAPE, a large-scale technology and entertainment event. She began her corporate communications career at Mary Kay Inc. managing national media relations, executive media training, and digital content strategy.
A native Chicagoan and cum laude graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Corporate Communication and Public Affairs program, Emily also serves as an Adjunct Professor at SMU, teaching in the Corporate Communication and Public Affairs division. She brings practical, real-world standards to her work and the classroom focused on outcomes, credibility, and execution.
