Marvin is an award-winning communications and public affairs executive with more than three decades of experience advising industry leaders, shaping integrated global strategies, and guiding organizations through complex political, commercial, and reputational environments. He is known for his strategic insight, cross-sector expertise, and ability to lead teams across markets and industries.

A co-founder at Throughline, Marvin most recently served as Executive Vice President at Burson, where he was a member of the U.S. Leadership Team and led the firm’s Mobility + Transportation practice. Previously, he spent many years at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, holding leadership roles across the U.S., chairing both the Mobility + Transportation and Energy + Industrials sectors, and overseeing the firm’s Texas operations.

Earlier in his career, Marvin worked on two presidential campaigns and held public affairs, government relations, and corporate communications roles for Public Strategies and Legend Airlines. His work spans aerospace, energy, healthcare, infrastructure, higher education, technology, and transportation—bringing a rare combination of business acumen, geopolitical fluency, and communications expertise.

Marvin holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Political Science from Southern Methodist University and studied at University College, Oxford. He is deeply engaged in civic leadership across Dallas, serving on numerous boards and holding leadership roles with the Dallas Citizens Council, Dallas Assembly, Meadows School at SMU, World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth, and multiple additional organizations.
